The Visitor and Information Centre for the German Parliament

The Visitors Centre is a transitory space, place of movement that provides visual information about the subject and the route of the visit. The form of the Visitor Centre is defined by the borders of the plot in order to integrate fully into the greenery of the Tiergarten. The Visitor Centre is organized around a Central Covered Atrium that provides orientation and indicates clearly the way to the underground passage to the Bundestag.

Although in terms of size, height and form the Visitors Centre is a modest building, not asking for attention, it is definitely a piece of architecture particularly in the way it informs, assembles and directs visitors for their visit in the Bundestag.

The Visitors' Centre expresses the movement of people through its spaces and reflects upon the architectural form of their visit.
